Call of the Wild

Quietly secured on 20 plus acres of woodland outside of Lititz, PA, you will find the Wolf Sanctuary of PA.  A non-profit organization created to secure and protect the safety and health of displaced wolves.

It has been over a hundred years since the last wild wolf was known to exist in Pennsylvania.  For over 30 years, the Darlington Family has offered a refuge to Wolves who have found themselves without a place in the outdoors. The refuge was originally created as a private rescue and has grown into an educational facility. Tours are offered throughout the year by reservation on Tuesdays and Thursdays and open to the public on Saturday and Sundays (no appointment necessary).  Tours on Saturdays and Sundays begin at 10:00am in September and at Noon in October through May.

Guided walking tours during the day last about an hour.  The tour starts with an introduction of how the sanctuary was formed and wolf facts. You will then be guided from one pack to the next with an introduction to the wolves.  There is an opportunity to ask questions about each of the wolf packs. This is an outdoor walking tour along trails of natural grass, stones and dirt.  Please wear appropriate walking shores. Along with creating beautiful music Terri is an advocate for the plight of the gray wolves who live in Isle Royal National Park in Michigan. Join us to hear a collection of love songs and story-telling.
