Waltz World: Manheim's Award-Winning Vineyard
In Pennsylvania's Amish Country, a sprawling vineyard stretches itself across one of the many hills, blanketed in some of the world's best-tasting grapes. It is here, at Waltz Vineyard, that Pennsylvania produces its largest harvest of grapes. Fertilized by world-class soil and nurtured by the same family for six generations, the land is a true testament to the aspirations and American ideals of local, family-owned business. By the end of summer, this vineyard alone will gather 100 tons of grapes destined to be transformed into different wines and bottled. Besides the secluded, pastoral headquarters of the Waltz Estate Winery, these award-winning bottles can also be located at the Lititz Bottle Shop on Main Street in Lititz, and Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse. The unique, European-style tasting room located at the vineyard combines country antiquities with contemporary decor that also features local artists.
Visit the Waltz Vineyards Website for more information. The winery is open Monday-Thursday 11AM-5PM and Friday-Saturday 11AM-6PM. The Lititz Bottle Shop also follows these hours, while the storefront at Kitchen Kettle Village is open Monday-Saturday 9AM-6PM.
