Corvettes at Carlisle

Carlisle, Pennsylvania is home to the largest Corvette event in the world. Considered "America's classic sports car,'  over 5,000 Corvettes are on display from classics to late-models to new. In addition to looking at the cars, you can participate (or watch) the autocross and burnouts. This events boast the largest all-Corvette car corral, Manufacturers Midway and Installation Alley. The show runs August 28-30, 2015. Gate times are: Friday - Saturday 7am to 6pm and Sunday 7am to 3pm. Admission is charged. Not a car fan, not to worry, a host of other activities are available in the Women's Oasis tent. A variety of vendors will be on hand selling items from jewelry to handmade crafts and beauty products. Or just relax with a massage. Other activities inlcude seminars, workshops and free prize bingo.

The best part of this show is the parade through historic downtown Carlisle which is held on Saturday, August 29 starting at 6:45 pm. Corvettes leave the fairgrounds from Gate 1 to downtown Carlisle where they park for a huge street party. Plan an early dinner at one of the many downtown restaurants and then stroll through the Corvettes parked along the streets.
