"Take Me Out to the Ballgame...
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack.”
We all know this song and it has become the unofficial anthem of baseball and is traditionally sung during the seventh-inning stretch.
Attending a baseball game in the afternoon or evening is a great way to enjoy a spring/summer day. Pennsylvania is home to two Major League Baseball teams (Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates), eight minor league baseball teams affiliated with a Major League team, and three independent minor league teams.
Ticket and concession prices at Pennsylvania’s outstanding minor league teams are often lower than their professional counterparts. Many famous major league players began their careers in the minor leagues, like Nolan Ryan who played for the Williamsport Crosscutters.
All teams offer a variety of promotional events at Home games from fireworks to giveaways to autograph sessions. As you plan your Pennsylvania vacation, be sure to include a baseball game at one of our many baseball teams located in every region of the state.
