Walk with a Town Historian!
Experience history as you stroll through the streets of 1863 Gettysburg with an experienced historian. A variety of walking tours are available. Every Saturday at 11:00 am you can walk in Lincoln's footsteps, who was a key figure in a conflict that defined our nation. Learn about his visit to Gettysburg on November 18-19, 1863 including the Will's House, the procession and the dedication ceremonies at the National Cemetery.
Gettysburg Licensed Town Historians are experienced professional historians with a passion for storytelling and can relay historical accuracy about the three day battle, occupation and aftermath. The walking tours are designed for you to experience 1863 Gettysburg and hear the stories about key individuals who make Gettysburg a destination. The tours are 90 minutes of easy walking. Tours begin at 10:00 am and the last tour begins at 6:00 pm daily. It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance, but they can be purchased the day of by cash only.
