Musikfest - Bethlehem PA
Founded in 1984 by ArtsQuest, the first Musikfest featured 295 performances on six stages, attracting more than 180,000 people to historic Bethlehem. Over the past three decades, the event has grown, evolving into one of the largest and most diverse music festivals in the nation, with 500-plus shows on 14 stages over 10 days. Each year more than 900,000 people make their way to the Lehigh Valley to experience all the music, food and fun of this musical extravaganza.
As Musikfest celebrates in August, you’ll find more FREE music than ever before. Listen to over 500 performances by local, regional and national acts such as 3 Doors Down, Culture Club, Duran Duran, ZZ Top, Reba, Snoop Dogg and more on 15 stages. In addition to the music, you’ll find over 45 artisans and retailers and 65 food vendors at Musikfest.
After attending one or more music performances, be sure to take time and visit Bethlehem, named the Christmas City in 1937. It is home to the oldest continuously operating bookstore in the world, the Moravian Book Shop, dating to 1745. With six distinct National Historic Districts within its confines, it also has two National Historic Landmarks. In 2012, Historic Moravian Bethlehem, where the Christmas City began as a mission community in 1741, was designated a National Historic Landmark District, one of only six in Pennsylvania.
Enjoy the music, experience the history of Bethlehem and then unwind and relax at a nearby Bed & Breakfast.
