PA Bacon Fest in Easton
One of the country’s best culinary events of the year takes place in historic Easton, Pennsylvania. And it’s no wonder that it’s all about bacon! The PA Bacon Fest attracts more than 80,000 bacon-loving visitors every year for a two-day celebration of our most cherished meat product. To look at it by the numbers, America spends over $4 billion on bacon every year and since the bacon cheeseburger debuted in 1992, our insatiable obsession with bacon has led to things like bacon shampoo, bacon floss, and bacon toothpaste. Whatever its form, or flavor, may be, Bacon Fest is here to celebrate it all among your bacon-loving brethren.
The two-day event has many fun activities and a full schedule of entertainment including live music, craft beer, and pig racing. More than 150 vendors and 12 live musical acts will be attending to sell wares and bacon products, and entertain. Philly food trucks, farmers’ market regulars, and local eateries and restaurants will all be serving their sizzling bacon with craft beer, bloody marys, lemonade, and iced tea. You can also go for a ride on the mechanical pig, “Harley the Hog”, to see how long you can last. For the truly spirited, show your inner bacon-lover at the costume contest or shop bacon merchandise at Centre Cut.
The Bacon and Brew Tasting event at Bacon Fest starts at noon and lasts until 5PM—or while supplies last. Join the tasting for a taste bud explosion as you sample eight original craft beers alongside eight different kinds of bacon.
Cancel out some calories at the Racin’ Bacon 5k on Sunday, November 4th at 9AM. Pass the pigs that get a head start and earn some extra bacon! The race begins and ends at Riverside Park in Easton. For all bacon-related activities, click here.
