Great American Outdoor Show
February and March is "Outdoor Show" season in Pennsylvania. A number of sports and outdoor shows are held throughout Pennsylvania. One of the largest outdoor shows on the East Coast is the Great American Outdoor Show being held February 6-14, 2016 at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA. This nine day show celebrates hunting, fishing and outdoor traditions. The show features over 1,000 exhibitors covering a wide variety of products and services including: shooting manufacturers, outfitters, fishing boats, RV's, archery and so much more. In addition to the exhibits, visitors to the show can enjoy country concerts, fundraising dinners, speaking events, celebrity appearances, seminars, archery competitions and demonstrations. View the complete list of events at the website where you can also purchase tickets or at the door.
The first weekend of the show will feature The Bass University with one- and two-day slate of classes taught by professional bass anglers. There is a separate charge to attend these classes, but are being held in the same complex of halls as the Outdoor Show. Learn more at the Bass University website.
While the show is for the outdoor enthusiast in general, it is also becoming known as a venue for top country music entertainment. On stage Friday, February 12 is Phil Robertson UnMuzzled with warm-up by Montdale country singer Nate Hosie. The NRA Country Concert is on Saturday, February 13 featuring country star Justin Moore and special guest Ben Gallagher, an up-and-coming country artist from Camp Hill. Tickets are on sale now.
