Butler's Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival

Hundreds of Jeeps are set to make a pilgrimage back home for the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler, the Pennsylvania town where the iconic American vehicle was first crafted for the U.S. military. You'll meet over 15,000 other Jeep-lovers as you enjoy off-road trails, test your mettle in Jeepardy!, vote for Best of Bantam, shop hundreds of vendors, and much more!  There are so many things to do in Butler for the Heritage Festival alongside your fellow Jeep family.

New for 2018 this year, Bantam added the opportunity to decorate your Jeep and compete in the categories of Most Creative, Best Theme, and Most Patriotic. Each winner will receive 100 raffle tickets and a certificate. Dress your Jeep up, or deck it out, and await the results on Saturday morning!

Get to know the region by exploring the nearby Moraine State Park on the Moraine Trail Ride. The activity offers beautiful scenery, spectacular views, and exclusive access to sections of the park. You can also register for the Glacial Interpretive Driving Tour which features three interesting geological formations along scenic back roads. This tour also features a short hike that demonstrates how glaciers in the area impacted the landscape.

A special exhibit teaches how the original Jeep was created by the American Bantam Car Company in 1940 in Butler, PA. It also tells the interesting story of how Bantam won and lost the contract to build the vehicle that would win America World War II.  Don't miss the Jeeps through the Decades exhibit, featuring unique Jeep models from the 1970s. Talk to the owners, view the vehicles, and learn about the rich heritage of the Jeep and what it means to Butler.

All these activities and attractions will surely work up your appetite, but luckily Saturday night is the Bantam Wing Fest at 5:30PM. Enjoy a wide variety of seasoned wings and sauce at the all-you-can-eat wing fest as well as fries, cole slaw, water, and soda. No meal tickets are sold in-person so don't forget to register your name online!

The Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival will be held June 8-10, 2018 at Coopers Lake Campground in Slippery Rock. Visit the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival's website for more information, full list of Jeep activities, pricing, and registration.
