Sharon, PA Hosts Internationally known WaterFire this Summer!
Experience one of the most interesting art installations, WaterFire, being hosted in the Shenango Valley in Sharon, Pennsylvania. A multi-sensory art event, WaterFire is world-renowned and has been hosted in cities like Singapore, Rome, Kansas City and now Sharon, PA. This amazing art event first occurred in 2013 that attracted over 70,000 people and completely transformed the city, its community and people in revitalizing downtown Sharon.
Three events are planned for 2015 on July 18, August 22 and September 26. Free to the public, each day-long event offers an interactive arts experience, music and food. Live fire performers enhance the event with performances beginning at dusk on the river and around the downtown area. Anchored in the Shenango River will be over 50 custom built floating braziers. These baskets are set ablaze at night to produce a unique display.
