America's Premier Folk Festival
Now in its 66th year, the Kutztown Folk Festival is the oldest folklife festival in America. Celebrating the Pennsylvania Dutch culture, this unique festival continues to attract upwards of 150,000 visitors per year. Named as One of America's Top Celebrations by USA Today, it was named as a "Must See" Festival by the Washington Post.
This year's nine day festival being held on June 27 - July 5, 2015 offers:
Crafts: 200 juried folk artists and traditional American craftsmen demonstrate and offer for sale an exceptional range of fine works.
Quilt Sale: Over 2,500 handmade quilts displayed for sale, the largest quilt sale in the nation. Don't miss the quilting bees and demonstrations.
Folklife: See a Mennonite meeting house, early farming, antique wagons and buggies. See a Civil War camp. Learn about herbs, foods, clothes, legends and more!
Entertainment: Live music, fiddlers, folk singers and country dancing on six stages and throughout the Festival. See live theater and a country auction.
Food: Sample great foods such as funnel cake, waffles, pretzels, smoked meats, ox roast, all-you-can eat PA Dutch feasts and Farmers Market goodies to go.
Festival is held at the Kutztown Fairgrounds located at 225 North Whiteoak Street. Kutztown is in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country midway between Allentown and Reading along Route 222.
